Britney Spears’ New Single Debuts

Britney Spears
“Womanizer,” the first single from Britney Spears’ new album, Circus, made its debut on New York radio station Z100. You can check it out here.
Brit wore a black wig and played a waitress during the shoot. I guess if the whole singing thing goes South, she can start a whole new career slinging hash at a truckstop near you.

Amy Winehouse Vomits on Borrowed Designer Duds; Returns Them Anyway

Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse is a real class act, that’s for sure. The Harvey Nichols department store loaned the singer several dresses, which Winehouse apparently wore when she went on a binge on Saturday night. She ended up worshiping at the porcelain altar and got puke on the designer duds, too.
The dresses were sent back to the store on Monday, without having been cleaned (or wrapped separately). A green mold had developed on the frocks, which made them very expensive items for the garbage men to pick up. Amy was sent a bill for US $55,000 to cover the replacement cost. EWWW!

Todd Palin Refuses to Testify in Troopergate Investigation

Sarah and Todd Palin
First Dude Todd Palin has decided to thumb his nose at a subpoena directing him to testify at the Troopergate hearing. His lawyer responded to the document by sending a letter stating that he objected to the proceedings and he wouldn’t be showing up to testify.
Unfortunately, the Alaska state legislature doesn’t have a lot of pull in getting witnesses to show up to testify. A $500 fine is about the extent of the consequences Todd Palin will face, and only when the legislature reconvenes in January of next year.
Maybe the lawmakers’ first order of business should be to give that piece of legislation a lot more teeth by increasing the penalties for ignoring a subpoena. Todd Palin’s actions also beg the question, “What does the First Dude have to hide?”
