I wouldn’t have believed it if some of the more reputable mags and websites weren’t reporting it, but it appears to be true. Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are flying off to Costa Rica together for a relaxing getaway. No, there doesn’t appear to be anything romantic to it, but it is a rather odd pairing.

So far no reason has been given for the vacay or whether or not Poppa Spears approves. According to People magazine, the pair left yesterday afternoon and may be staying at Mel’s Costa Rica getaway.

If you watch Ellen today, pay good attention or you’ll miss her big announcement. Ellen surprised her audience by telling them she was getting married. Portia was in the audience and the pair receive a big standing ovation.

Oh man. Is that all you got? Wonder who was cheating. They’re both pretty rich so there shouldn’t be too much squabbling over money. Wonder who gets the kids.

Jodie Foster and her long time partner, Cydney Bernard, have split after 15 years and two children together.

The split is shocking not only because the pair was together for so long, but also because Jodie recently came out of the closet after thanking Cydney at an awards event last fall.

Word on the street is that this may not be a simple breakup since kids and Jodie’s money is involved. We’ll keep you posted.

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again…who would lend money to Michael Jackson? Neverland Ranch was spared from foreclosure once again after a real estate firm called Colony Capital bought out the loan.

I’m really curious as to why Michael Jackson insists on holding on to Neverland, especially after its fallen into such a state of disrepair. What’s it been? About 3 years since someone lived there? Maybe there are so many secrets there and he doesn’t have the time to clean them all out?

In any event, why anyone would lend all those millions to Michael Jackson, hell…any Jackson, is beyond me. I only bet on sure things.
