The National Enquirer is reporting that the bloom may be off the rose for Katie Holmes, also known as Mrs. Tom Cruise. Apparently she is just cluing in that she doesn’t have any freedom and that her hubby is a bit of a controlling sort. All of their friends are really his friends, and she is afraid that if she decides to leave Tom that he won’t let her see their daughter, Suri, 2.

Tom Cruise has jumped on the superhero bandwagon. The movie star (notice I didn’t say great actor) is teaming up with Sam Raimi of Spiderman fame to star in a flick based on the DC Comics character, Sleeper. The character is an undercover intelligence agent (a big stretch for Tom-boy after starring in the Mission Impossible films) who comes across an alien artifact that renders him indestructible.

Tom Cruise is in talks to reprise his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun II. This time, he will be a Top Gun instructor dealing with a cocky female pilot.

Has anyone else noticed after watching the first version, oh, about 20 times, that the plot is a little weak and the flick is mostly about eye candy and fast, expensive toys? Not that eye candy is a bad thing…I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed.

Lordy is this ever embarrassing. The Scientologists threw a 6 figure birthday party for Tom Cruise in 2004 – a huge tribute laden birthday party featuring movie clips and a band playing movie theme songs.
