Hunky Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and former beauty queen Kari Ann Penich did NOT have sex, just tons of fun, the third wheel told TMZ.com.

The two-year-old video, taken in Penich’s apartment, is actually the trio pretending to “make a movie,” and how does one play like that? Get the two women in a bathtub where they soak each other up, that’s how! McSteamy — the nickname of Dane’s character on “Grey’s Anatomy — meanwhile pretended to be Steven Spielberg and called “action,” Kari Ann told TMZ.com.

Kari Ann claims the video, stored in her computer, was snatched by her Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab roomie singer Mindy McCready. But media reports say it was the other way around: Peniche stole from McCready, prompting the show to kick her off.

But in Kari Ann’s version of events, she went to the LAPD and filed a police report. Again, that conflicts with previous published reports claiming the tape surfaced during an official investigation of Peniche’s sex-for-hire business.

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready, 33,  is recovering in hospital after cutting her wrists and taking some pills in an apparent suicide attempt. One of her brothers discovered her in an apparently intoxicated state after she made a bizarre phone call to her mother.

Her 28-year-old brother, Josh, told People that Mindy is “doing great.”  Not sure what Josh’s definition of “doing great” is, but someone who has just tried to off themselves is not doing great. She is deeply troubled and obviously need help.

Country singer Mindy McCready will voluntarily surrender to authorities tomorrow and will serve a 60-day jail sentence in Tennessee for violating the terms of her probation for prescription drug fraud. Here’s what Mindy had to say about the matter:

I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs, and entertain.

Mindy also thanked her fans (no sure how many of those she has left at this point) and said she wanted to regain custody of her son, Zander. Somehow I don’t think being jailed for a parole violation is going to help much, but good luck with persuading a judge that the kid would be better off with you, Mindy.

Former country singer Mindy McCready is having a rough time of it these days, but hopefully she is on the road to a life that contains a lot less drama than she has seen over the last 30 days or so. The National Enquirer is reporting that she sought medical attention after trying to commit suicide. The attempt to off herself followed a miscarriage.

Back on June 23, McCready was arrested for violating probation on a drug charge dating back to 2004. She is charged with falsifying records about her community service. This latest development won’t help her make the comeback she has been hoping for, that’s for sure.
