Jessica Simpson is feeling "insecure" because she found out that her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo has moved on since ending their relationship.

Romo has been spotted out and about with Candice Crawford, the 22-year-old beauty queen sister of Gossip Girl’s Chase Crawford.

An unnamed source talked to Hollyscoop and had this to say: “She can’t believe it. She doesn’t want Tony back, but no one wants to see that their ex has moved on with a hot, younger girl. This couldn’t have come at a worse time for Jessica. It’s opened up a lot of old wounds. She’s pretty insecure about herself.”

“Jessica is unlucky in love and that’s her downfall. She’s buried herself in work and trying not to focus on the break-up with Tony.”

If Tony dumped her, then it stands to reason that sooner or later he would find someone new (and younger).

Jessica Simpson, fresh from her recent breakup with boyfriend Tony Romo, is taking a break from men. “She needs time to clear her head, so she’s putting dating on the back burner,” a source close to Simpson blabbed to the National Enquirer.

“Jess knows she’s overly needy and tends to define herself by the men she’s with,” explained the source. “Jessica wants to figure out what she does to repel men and fix it,” said the source.

“For the time being, she’s refusing to be set up, she doesn’t want to date, and she’s definitely avoiding meaningless hookups.”

That’s right…only deep and meaningful hookups from now on….

Tony Romo has attempted to set the record straight about why he dumped Jessica Simpson the night before her 29th birthday…he got tired of being constantly pressured to dig deep and fork out the coin to buy her an engagement ring. A source blabbed to RadarOnline: “They were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic.

“Tony dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it.”

Poor Jess had to cancel her “Barbie and Ken” themed birthday party because of the split. Tony has been spotted out on the town at MyHouse and the Key Club since the breakup.

Tony decided to deal with the breakup in true manly fashion by going out with friends on Friday evening to Hollywood hotspot MyHouse. Simpson is said to be “heartbroken” to be a resident of Dumpsville.

The “official” reason for the split is that he has been busy with his career and she is about to launch her reality TV show. Wonder if Jess constantly hinting that she wanted to get married and make babies had something to do with it…..Just saying…..

Jessica Simpson is visiting a number of networks to flog an idea for a new reality show. According to US magazine, the show will be called The Price of Beauty and feature Jess and a friend going on the road to discover “what people find beautiful and why.”

She is even prepared to put herself out there and “try shocking things that women do to make themselves beautiful. Picture Fear Factor.”

Obviously, she needs to move her career in a different direction, since she has famously forgotten the lyrics to her own songs a couple of times lately. What else does a celeb who needs money is looking for new challenges do?

Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, has laid down the law to his lady love. According to the National Enquirer, Jess has been told that she needs to give up partying or they are through.

Tony is not too impressed with Jess’s excessive partying lately. Since she has recently been dropped by her record label, she has been spending her time bending the elbow and trying to convince Tony that she would make a great wife and mother. Former trainer Mike Alexander is the man for the job. His mission is to keep her on track and limit her to 1,250 calories per day.

According to Star magazine, Jess just can’t resist junk food. She also binges on food when stressed out. Sounds like Mike has his work cut out for him.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has taken time out of her busy schedule looking after the two men in her life, hubby Pete Wentz and new baby Bronx Mowgli, to defend big sister Jessica Simpson’s weight on her blog. Jess does seem to have a more voluptuous appearance lately, and has taken a few verbal jabs because of it.

“Under the headline, ‘Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy,’ Ashlee says: “A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure.”

She adds: “All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now can we focus on the things that really matter.”
