On second thought …

Jon “hey look at me making out with some hot chick in your favorite magazine” Gosselin is rethinking his divorce with soon-to-be ex-wife Kate. Dude has apparently stopped the divorce process, which was expected to be finished by late November, In Touch Weekly has reported. The tabloid fixture learned that Kate had suffered a breakdown taping a TV pilot this month and “he knew he was responsible for her suffering.” (Awfully big ego, we say.)

Well, Dude did say he “despised” Kate during a Nightline interview on ABC. Oh and he has a propensity of making out with chicks while nearby photographers click away, so OK. Sounds like you might be right about this one, JG.

“He woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and didn’t like the reflection,” Jon’s attorney, Mark Jay Heller, tells In Touch. “He realized he’d made some bad choices.” 

Now we here at Glamorati think it’s a mighty big coinkidink that his sudden doubt comes just one day after TLC, the channel where Jon & Kate Plus 8 appears, announced that the show will now be called Kate Plus 8. Ouchie.

Perhaps it’s the Money Train Jon Gosselin wants to get on.

In happier times ...

The TLC network has had it up to here with Jon Gosselin, the Ed Hardy-lovin’ co-star of its reality series hit “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” The channel has essentially prohibited Jon from shilling for designer Ed Hardy, whose wares he wears on the high-rated TV show, Radaronline.com reports. Just last week, the suits began blurring shirt logos and now it’s officially policy.

“TLC feels like they are being used by Jon,” a well-informed source told the Web site.”They want to send him a message loud and clear.” It’s deafening, really.

So now Jon has a crappy relationship with both the Kate-ster AND TLC. Batting a thousand Jonny! Heck, tensions got so out of control for the exes that Dude had to call the cops on wifey. Harsh? Had to? We’re wondering what you think.

Daddy who?

Remember musician Bill Hudson of “Hudson Brothers” fame? Didn’t think so. Well, he was married for a short time to Goldie Hawn, siring superstar Kate Hudson and her bro Oliver. Kate and Pops have had an on-and-off relationship over the years and now Dad wants it back on. Why? Cause Katie, currently caliente with Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees Lighting A-Rod, has a three-year-old half sister, Lalania, that Bill Hudson wants her to meet.  

Chances are slim Bill, especially when you use Life & Style magazine to relay this wish to your daughter, who apparently cut you off when she learned in 2006 that she had a baby sister. 

“Katie, I love you with all my heart, and I beg you to come home and meet your baby sister. There’s only a two-year difference between Ryder [Kate's son] and Lalania, and it saddens me that they haven’t once played together,” he told the magazine. Good luck with that.

UPDATED Aug. 15: Jon & Kate met up at a park on Friday, looking a bit tense while their children appeared wierded out by the encounter, US Weekly magazine reports. Part of the tension between the two maybe Jon’s selection of a 23-year-old babysitter with whom he purportedly had a sexy night with on Aug. 1, the mag reports. END OF UPDATE

Not only is America privy to the ebb and flow drama that is Jon and Kate Gosselin’s marriage, but now so are police in the Wernersville, Pa. area. Authorities were called Thursday evening to the former couple’s home after the two engaged in a verbal argument, People.com reports. So all of a sudden Chez Gosselin turns into Jon and Kate Plus 8 Plus 8 cops.

When law enforcement arrived, Jon alleges, his estranged wife turned on the tear spigot just for cops. Kate tried to enter the home, but her ex wouldn’t let her past the gate. “She tried to ‘cry it up’ with the cops and it didn’t work,” Jon says. “They said, ‘You have to leave.’ “  

In other J+K+8 news, Daddy will host a pool party in Vegas, cause that’s where in transition ex-hubbos go to find themselves.

And baby makes three for former Sen. John Edwards and filmmaker Rielle Hunter.

So the jig is up for John Edwards, the disgraced presidential aspirant who slept with a campaign aide while his wife, Elizabeth Edwards battled breast cancer. Said aide, Rielle Hunter, gave birth to a girl Frances in February 2008, a few weeks after Edwards dropped out of the Democratic Primary. Turns out, the National Enquirer reports, his DNA matches the child’s. The positive test is the proverbial cherry on the hot fudge sundae that is the Edwards’ relationship.

Sen. Edwards denied, denied, denied published reports in the Enquirer of an affair with Hunter and the paternity of her child. In August, the house of cards fell when he finally admitted – like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar – that he did cheat on Elizabeth. It was only a matter of time the world would find out Edwards fathered a very young daughter with some woman who was not his wife.

But the fun doesn’t end with the DNA test. The Enquirer reports Hunter has testified against her former lover to a federal grand jury on Aug. 6 for nine hours. The grand jury is investigating whether he broke campaign finance laws by secretly funneling money to her.  There is no more appropriate place to use the most cliche of lines right now: Karma’s a bitch.

In a show of class not usually associated with celebs, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have stated that they won’t be cashing in by selling pix of their new daughter Sunday Rose.

So far, they have turned down multiple offers from magazines looking to be the first to feature the new addition to the family. Good for them! Celebs have to pimp out their kids; it doesn’t have to start in the first few weeks of life.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are parents again. The couple welcomed a new son and a daughter yesterday. Knox Leon weighed in at 5.03 lbs. and his sister Vivienne Marcheline was 5 lbs. at birth.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the new additions to the Jolie-Pitt brood are the couple’s fifth and sixth children. We were all waiting for the Blessed Event to take place on Tuesday, but the scheduled C-section was moved forward for medical reasons.

Now that the babies are here, I suppose the next Big Thing will be to see the first pics. Be still my heart.

In what has to be one of the most dumb poorly-thought-out celebrity quotes ever, Jamie Lynn Spears told Hello! Magazine that being a mother was “so much fun.” The 17-year-old is a brand new mom, having given birth to baby Maddie on June 19.

So, Jamie, what is the most fun? Is it the exhaustion, getting up in the middle of the night, the pain after the C-section, the sore nipples, or what? Between her and Angelina Jolie, who loves being knocked up, what are real everyday women supposed to think when being in the family way and looking after a newborn isn’t quite so wonderful. And why are we listening to someone who isn’t old enough to vote, anyway?

Former full house star, Jodie Sweetin, gave birth to a little girl named Zoie on Saturday. The baby weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces and is twenty one inches long. A nice, healthy size and weight. “Jodie says that she and her husband and family are absolutely thrilled and in love with baby Zoie,” says a rep for the actress.

Mother and baby are doing just fine although Jodie is resting up after her C-section.

Cate Blanchett gave birth to her third little boy in Sydney yesterday. The little guy’s name is Ignatius Martin Upton and weighed in just shy of eight pounds. Mother and baby are said to be doing great.
