Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden have welcomed their second child.

Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born early on the morning of September 9, 2009. Mother, dad, and baby are all doing well.

Hopefully being born on 09/09/09 might help to balance out the unfortunate handle the little guy has been stuck with.

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville is gonna be a “Daddy” for the second time with galpal Naomi Nelson, USmagazine reports. She’s three months preggers and the divorced Knoxville is already talking marriage and showing off a domesticated side we hadn’t seen when he got shat upon. He has a daughter Madison, 13, with ex-wife Melanie Clapp.

“He’s telling people that his girlfriend Naomi is three months pregnant.  He’s excited, and a little nervous,” an “insider” told www.celebrity-gossipnet.com. 

“He’s found a degree of peace with Naomi.  He treats her like an angel and keeps reminding her that all his strange stunts are just part of his job.”

Daddy who?

Remember musician Bill Hudson of “Hudson Brothers” fame? Didn’t think so. Well, he was married for a short time to Goldie Hawn, siring superstar Kate Hudson and her bro Oliver. Kate and Pops have had an on-and-off relationship over the years and now Dad wants it back on. Why? Cause Katie, currently caliente with Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees Lighting A-Rod, has a three-year-old half sister, Lalania, that Bill Hudson wants her to meet.  

Chances are slim Bill, especially when you use Life & Style magazine to relay this wish to your daughter, who apparently cut you off when she learned in 2006 that she had a baby sister. 

“Katie, I love you with all my heart, and I beg you to come home and meet your baby sister. There’s only a two-year difference between Ryder [Kate's son] and Lalania, and it saddens me that they haven’t once played together,” he told the magazine. Good luck with that.

Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, welcomed twin boys into the family on Saturday night. In a refreshing change from recent celebrity baby names, the couple are calling them Bob and Max. Mother and babies are doing just fine, according to Sheen’s publicist:

“They’re doing great. And Brooke’s doing great…He’s a family man – now he has three daughters and two sons. He’s a wonderful father.”

Sheen has two daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards. He also has a daughter, Cassandra, 24, from a previous relationship.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have welcomed a second daughter into the family. The baby was born on Tuesday in Los Angeles. No name has been released, but mom and baby are both doing well.

This is Ben and Jen’s second foray into parenthood. Daughter Violet is 3.

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell are the parents of two baby girls. Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip were a belated Christmas gift for the couple, making their big debut on December 28.

New mom Rebecca is planning on taking several months off to care for the new members of the family, and has described her and hubby Jerry’s parenting style as being very “hands on.” No word yet on whether this twosome plan on pimping out the babies sharing photos of the new arrivals with the public any time soon.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby Pete Wentz are parents of a baby boy. Bronx Mowgli Wentz made his debut in Los Angeles on November 20. Little Bronx weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs. 11 oz and measured 20 /2 inches in length. Mom, Dad and baby are doing well.

Knowing these two, we’ll be hearing all details about the birth soon, whether we want to or not. And they have followed in the footsteps of celebrity parents who really want their kids to get picked on at school in their choice of a handle for the little guy. (Try saying “Bronx Wentz” five times fast and you’ll see what I mean….)

Lisa Marie Presley and producer hubby Michael Lockwood are the parents of twin girls. The babies were born last week in an undisclosed location by Caesarean section. The 40-year-old mom and babies are resting at home and doing well.

The babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz. and 5 lbs. 2 oz. Names have not yet been disclosed, probably to allow Lisa Marie and Mr. Presley to arrange a multi-million dollar deal for the first pix of the new members of the family.

Matt Damon and wife Luciana welcomed a healthy daughter into the family on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Gia Zavala Damon joins big sisters Isabella, 2, and Alexa, who is Luciana’s daughter from a previous relationship.

I guess this would make Matt not only the Sexiest Man alive, but a contender for Sexiest Dad Alive, too.

Three weeks old and already a cover story, the latest additions to the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie tribe, Vivienne and Knox are featured on this week’s People cover. Hello! paid $14 million for the right to publish the first set of pix. I hope it was worth it, because although they are cute, they look like normal babies to me.

I would think that there are more important issues for us to focus on than a couple adding to their family, but I guess not. Ho hum.

On a related note, Angie has commented that she and Brad didn’t need to use IVF to conceive the twins. I guess that means that Brad’s boys can swim!
