Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden have welcomed their second child.

Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born early on the morning of September 9, 2009. Mother, dad, and baby are all doing well.

Hopefully being born on 09/09/09 might help to balance out the unfortunate handle the little guy has been stuck with.

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville is gonna be a “Daddy” for the second time with galpal Naomi Nelson, USmagazine reports. She’s three months preggers and the divorced Knoxville is already talking marriage and showing off a domesticated side we hadn’t seen when he got shat upon. He has a daughter Madison, 13, with ex-wife Melanie Clapp.

“He’s telling people that his girlfriend Naomi is three months pregnant.  He’s excited, and a little nervous,” an “insider” told www.celebrity-gossipnet.com. 

“He’s found a degree of peace with Naomi.  He treats her like an angel and keeps reminding her that all his strange stunts are just part of his job.”

Nicole Richie, who is expecting her second child with rocker boyfriend Joel Madden, has decided to name the new addition to the family after the recently deceased King of Pop.

Richie has reportedly been quite upset over Michael Jackson’s death, and has decided to honor him by naming her baby Michael if it’s a boy and Michelle if it’s another sister for little Harlow. That is very sweet, and a much-welcomed changed from the usual celebrity baby names we have heard recently.

Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer welcomed a son into their family on May 8 but kept mum on the little guy’s name. They have now announced that their little bundle of joy will bear the handle Otis Tobias Maguire.

In the realm of celebrity baby names, it’s not so bad. We’ve heard worse.

Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, welcomed twin boys into the family on Saturday night. In a refreshing change from recent celebrity baby names, the couple are calling them Bob and Max. Mother and babies are doing just fine, according to Sheen’s publicist:

“They’re doing great. And Brooke’s doing great…He’s a family man – now he has three daughters and two sons. He’s a wonderful father.”

Sheen has two daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards. He also has a daughter, Cassandra, 24, from a previous relationship.

Lisa Marie Presley and hubby Michael Lockwood have named their new daughters Finley and Harper. What is up with that? Did they secretly want boys or is this a case that when you are that famous, everyone knows what gender you are, so it doesn’t matter?

In case you’re living in a cave somewhere, you’ll probably have noticed there’s a celebrity baby boom going on. In fact, babies have replaced really big bags and silly looking sunglasses as the accessory of choice. Many of these celebrity babies even come with designer names.
