I wouldn’t have believed it if some of the more reputable mags and websites weren’t reporting it, but it appears to be true. Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are flying off to Costa Rica together for a relaxing getaway. No, there doesn’t appear to be anything romantic to it, but it is a rather odd pairing.

So far no reason has been given for the vacay or whether or not Poppa Spears approves. According to People magazine, the pair left yesterday afternoon and may be staying at Mel’s Costa Rica getaway.

The cast of "How I Met Your Mother" has nothing but good things to say about Britney Spears. We’re pleased to see her life take such a positive turn. Indeed, she looks fabulous on the cover of TV Guide.

This oughta keep his looney daughter from going off the deep end. Kevin Federline and Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears are buying a Los Angeles restaurant together.

Casa Cordobes is one of Kevin’s favorite restaurants and Jamie is a professional chef.  Clearly it’s a match made in heaven.
