Sedative Found at Michael Jackson’s Home
A law enforcement official, who spoke to the media on condition of anonymity, said that Diprivan, a powerful sedative, has been found in Michael Jackson’s home.
Police are investigating claims that Jackson had been taking sedatives, painkillers, and antidepressants. Diprivan is used in operating rooms to render a patient unconscious. The law enforcement official said Friday that it would be very unusual for someone to have this medication, which is given intravenously, in their home.
Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse who worked with the King of Pop, stated that Jackson was so distressed over insomnia that he begged to be given Diprivan. Lee said she refused because the drug is dangerous.
