Joaquim Phoenix and David Letterman
Joaquim Phoenix’s publicist has stated that his client is not mentally ill. Psychiatrist Paul Dobransky, who has never met Phoenix, has weighed in with this comment: “”There is something wrong. And it’s beyond drug abuse. I was pretty offended by that [Ben Stiller] skit at the Oscars. It struck me as potentially beating down on the mentally ill.”
Now Joaquim’s publicist, Susan Patricola, has responded with a shot across the bow:
“How absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who has no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them. And to do so in a public forum. Hope they spelled his name right. Another 15-minute ‘expert’ is born!”
I’d say that with the amount of education the doctor has, he is more than a “15-minute expert.” At least 20 minutes, to be fair.
