Hayden Panettiere is in the running to join the cast for the remake of Footloose. If she gets the part in the film, rumor has it that she will be working with Chace Crawford, of Gossip Girl fame.

The 1984 flick did have some good music, but when you watch it on TV, it does seem a little lacking in the plot department. Has anyone else noticed that?
