Farrah Fawcett, of Charlie’s Angels fame, has checked into a Los Angeles hospital. The 62-year-old actress, who was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, is being treated for a blood clot that is likely a side effect of a treatment she has recently undergone in Germany.

Fawcett had a small amount of bleeding in one of the muscles in her abdomen, which her doctor says is very painful. She returned to Los Angeles because she wanted to come home. Producer Craig Nevius, who is working with Fawcett on documentary called A Wing and a Prayer that will chronicle her fight against the disease, said that she will likely be released from the hospital in a few days.

In a related story, Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, 24, has been arrested and charged with bringing narcotics into a jail. He admitted to a guard doing a security sweep in the jail parking lot that he was carrying drugs and intended to deliver them to a friend who is presently doing time there. You may remember that Young O’Neal and his father, Ryan O’Neal, were arrested last year for suspicion of having having methamphetamine while on probation for a previous drug conviction. He has pleaded not guilty.
