Kid Rock has likely figured out that it doesn’t pay to jump into a fight at Georgia pancake house. The rocker, who was born Robert J. Ritchie, will be on probation for a year and has been ordered to pay a $1,000 fine after pleading no contest to simple battery.

Kid and his entourage decided to stop in to get some chow after performing in Atlanta last fall. A customer used some kind of fightin’ words and the altercation moved outside into the parking lot. Kid Rock and five other members of his crew were arrested and charged. Charges were dropped against three of the co-accused, and the other two received similar sentences to that handed down to the rocker.
