Well, it took an all-night session with the lawyers, but Peter Cook and Christie Brinkley have reached a settlement in their divorce. Notice I didn’t say that the settlement was an equal one; it was heavily slanted in favor of Brinkley.

The former model described the aftermath of the all-night bargaining session as “bittersweet” and stated that “it really is the death of the marriage.” I suppose now that Christie got full custody of the kids and all 18 properties (!) they own, she can stop feeling bitter and focus on the sweet.

And as for this being the death of the marriage, I would say that it bit the dust in the moment she found out about his dangerous liaisons with his personal assistant.
