Britney Spears on Trial for Traffic Offense
Britney Spears will finally have her day in court on charges that she violated California state law by driving without a valid driver’s license. She could have made all this go away by accepting a deal of a year’s probation and a $150 fine but Brit showed what a Brainiac she is by deciding to go for broke and have a jury trial.
Yep, she decided that it would be much better to have her day in court and take the risk of being sent to jail for six months or paying a $1,000 fine. Brit’s attorney, Michael Flanagan, had this to say:
My client will never plead guilty to this charge, which should be reduced to an infraction. We’ll appeal any conviction.
Spoken like a man who is getting paid (big bucks) by the hour.
