Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Engaged

Speculate no more, one of America’s more annoying couples, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are engaged. Not only are the reps confirming, but Ashlee and Pete released a statement announcing their impending nuptials.

.”We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I,” she and Pete posted last night on FriendsorEnemies.com. “Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged.”

The couple are considering the engagement a private affair so don’t expect them to “leak” a lot of details to the press. “Thank you for all your support and well wishes,” the couple said. “It means the world to us.”
