Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are Married

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got married on Saturday evening in what is being described as an “intimate” ceremony.

“We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” a family spokesperson told People.

 

Ashlee wore an ivory lace Monica Lhullier gown accented with William Noble bling. The shindig was attended by about 150 guests. Ashlee’s big sister Jessica Simpson served as maid of honor while poppa Joe Simpson married the couple. Lordy, Papa Joe has to butt in to everything , doesn’t he? Will he be birthing the baby too?

In any event, Ashlee and Pete have been dating for about two years and announced their engagement a month ago. It’s rumored Ashlee is pregnant and thus, the hurried shotgun wedding.
