So celebrities like to talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk are they as green as they say they are? Some like Leonardo diCaprio and Adrian Grenier are good green role models. Others claim to care about the environment but their actions say other wise. Check out these cases in point:

  1. Oprah Winfrey - Oprah Winfrey had a big Earth Day special with guests such as Al Gore showing us how we can be green, but does Oprah really care about the environment? Well..let’s take a look at her house and speculate. How much water do you think goes into that lawn each year? How much gas is used by the maintenance crew? I’m guessing it’s not using solar energy to heat that house either.

  2. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie - Brad Pitt’s efforts in New Orleans are definitely to be applauded, but is he as green as he’s made out to be? Judging how many private planes he and Ange use to shuttle their ever growing brood around the world, I think not.
  3. Paris Hilton - Says she drives a hybrid, so why is she always photographed in a Mercedes?
  4. George Clooney - Drives an electric car yet flies in a private jet to Japan.
  5. Arnold Schwarzenegger - He may have given up the Hummers, but he’s still taking a private jet to work every day - a 380 mile daily commute.
  6. Sting - Rainforest, schmainforest…Even Sting admits he’s polluting up the earth flying his 750 person around the world with him while he tours. His carbon footprint is larger than bigfoot.
  7. Madonna - Inexplicably graced the cover of Vanity Fair’s green issue yet claims people should avoid mass transit and private jets around the world. Oh and she spends over $120,000 on specially bottle Kabbalah water.
  8. Hayden Panettiere - Oh she loves those whales…and she’s often photographed using reuseable totes, but she drives a gas guzzling SUV.
